Palisades
Golf Course
Golf Architect Joe Lee, renowned for his work in nearly 200 championship
golf courses nationwide, described the Palisades site as “ the most
spectacular piece of golf property I have seen in Central Florida.”
Located on the North Side of Clermont, Palisades Golf Club is considered
one of the best local Joe Lee Designs.
In designing the golf course, Mr. Lee took full advantage of the area’s
rolling hills and natural lake front contours. Holes hugging the shores
of crystal clear Spring Lake, then climbing 80+ feet from tee to green,
provide panoramic views from atop one of the highest points overlooking
beautiful Lake Minneola.
Accommodating golfers with high or low handicaps, Palisades requires
the golfer to use every club. From the forward tees, the course is approximately
6,000 yards in length. To challenge low handicap players, it’s championship
tees extend the course to nearly 7,000 yards. Paved cart paths run from
greens to tees.
The gentle, rolling hills of South Lake County provide beautiful scenery
that is unique to Central Florida golf courses. Palisades’ spectacular
views and unusual terrain will provide every golfer with a challenging
and enjoyable game.
