Mystic
Dunes Golf Club
Mystic Dunes Golf Club is a Gary Koch design that opened in 2001
Kissimmee, just two miles south of Disney World. Nearly every green
complex at Mystic Dunes is notable, either for its extreme contour
or dramatic shaping. Rises and swales with over five feet of elevation
change aren’t uncommon. Despite the enormous breaks, the MacKenzie-esque
putting surfaces exist harmoniously with the remainder of the layout
and define the course’s overall flavor. At only 7,012 yards,
Mystic Dunes is not brutishly long. But the well-conceived routing
and a par of 71 produce a course capable of challenging low handicappers.
